Ingredients
- For the Pizza Dough
1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1 tbsp oil or ghee
2 tbsp milk powder
Water (as needed)
1/2 tsp sugar
- For the Chicken Tikka:
1/2 kg boneless chicken
2-3 tbsp oil
2 tbsp vinegar
Red pepper powder (as per taste)
Salt (as per taste)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp chaat masala
1 tbsp roasted cumin powder
- For Garnishing:
Prepared pizza dough
Cooked chicken tikka pieces
Onions (2 medium, sliced)
Tomatoes (2 medium, sliced)
Capsicum (2 medium, sliced)
Mozzarella cheese (1/2 packet)
Cheddar cheese (1/2 packet)
Crushed red chili
Oregano powder
Directions
- Prepare the Pizza Dough:
- Mix salt, egg, yeast, oil/ghee, milk powder, sugar, and water with the all-purpose flour (maida).
- Knead well and store the dough in an airtight container for 3 to 4 hours to allow it to rise.
- Marinate the Chicken:
- Mix salt, red pepper, chaat masala, all spice powder, ginger-garlic, vinegar, and oil with the chicken.
- Let it marinate for an hour.
- Cook the marinated chicken in a pan until tender.
- For extra flavor, ignite a coal and place it inside the pan, adding a few drops of oil. Cover the pan for 5 minutes to infuse a smoky aroma.
- Assemble the Pizza:
- Knead the pizza dough again.
- Grease a kulhad (clay pot) or any oven-safe pan with oil or ghee.
- Spread the kneaded dough in the pan, making it 0.5 to 1 inch thick.
- Layer the chicken tikka, followed by capsicum, onions, and tomatoes
- Sprinkle oregano powder and crushed red chili.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese
- Cook the Pizza:
- Place a tawa (griddle) on the stove.
- Put the pan (with the pizza) on low heat and cover it tightly to trap steam.
- Within 20 to 25 minutes, your homemade Kulhad Chicken Pizza will be ready.
- When it starts scenting delicious, check with a knife.
